No matter how ornate and elaborate a crystal chandelier may be, it will never reveal its full splendour without the right illuminant. The 2W filament LED illuminant imitates the look of classic light bulbs. Instead of simply emitting light, the filament LED incorporates a filament that reproduces the classic glow of old lamps in a modern form.
Our 2 watt filament LED illuminants have a matching candle shape and a connection with an E14 base. The 2 watt LED is roughly equivalent to the luminosity of a 20 watt light bulb, but saves around 90 per cent of the energy. The 2 watt version is not dimmable and has a warm white colour tone that settles at around 2700K. Ideal for a chandelier that should never appear too bright, but also never too dark.

Are LEDs worthwhile? A conventional light bulb with a comparable light output requires 20 kilowatt hours (kWh) of electricity for 1,000 hours of operation. At an energy price of 25 centimes per kWh, this amounts to CHF 5.00. An E14 LED 2 Watt, on the other hand, requires only a tenth of the energy for the same number of operating hours (1,000), i.e. 2 kWh or CHF 0.50.
Over the lifetime of an E14 LED 2 Watt (more than 15,000 hours), this results in an enormous savings potential of almost CHF 70.00 (assuming an average energy price of 25 centimes per kWh). With several illuminants, this amounts to hundreds, if not thousands of francs.
